Gustificio is a multidisciplinary venue that brings together a restaurant, bar, bakery, and inn, all managed by the passionate chef Andrea Poli. He loves to surprise his customers with an explosion of flavors in every dish, and I wanted to capture that energy in the brand identity.
In collaboration with nju:design, our team—consisting of the creative director and me—worked to bring this vision to life. From designing the logo to developing the entire brand image, my goal was to reflect Andrea’s playful and dynamic personality. The rectangle in the logo represents a container, but the letters inside move freely, embodying his creativity. I created a flexible system where the logo appears in different versions—sometimes in its original form, sometimes inside a square with a black or white background, and other times, especially in packaging, with the letters breaking free from any boundaries.
I chose yellow and black as the primary colors because they are bold and instantly recognisable while also reflecting Andrea’s warmth and cheerful spirit. We started with the brand identity and moved on to the packaging for panettone, colombe, bauletti, and biscotti—each designed to be as colorful and joyful as Andrea himself.
